Stay for the culture.What You’ll Be Doing:We are seeking a dynamic Data Scientist to join our team at Evolent to shape the future of healthcare. This role is perfect for someone passionate about leveraging AI to make informed decisions, reduce healthcare costs, and improve efficiency.Collaboration Opportunities :This position will play a critical role in interacting with engineering and clinical teams, healthcare payer executives, managers, and frontline staff users, driving the vision for our product with customer. Collaborating with the Clinical team and across various functional lines, demonstrating the passion for leveraging AI to improve efficiency within the healthcare sectorWhat You Will Be Doing:• Develop and deploy cutting-edge machine learning, NLP, and LLM models to solve the most pressing problems facing healthcare today, including document comprehension-related products to support reducing overall healthcare costs• Work on unstructured text data to build machine-learning models for information retrieval applications Use state-of-the-art deep-learning NLP and machine-learning algorithms operating over large volumes of both structured and unstructured data in a cluster-computing environment.• Influence and contribute to Evolent’s core product by architecting key components for automating and simplifying the AI-creation process of turning raw data into smart decisions. This includes automation of data transformation, feature engineering, algorithm selection, and model optimization.• Collaborate with a team of Data Scientists, clinicians, and engineers to drive the development and maturation of our AI solutions• Establish processes for rapid impact, feedback, and iteration of solutions with Evolent's internal clinical staff and customers• Work closely with our product and innovation teams, as well as business stakeholders spread across various locations in the US and India.Qualifications Required and Preferred:• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or related field. (Required)• 2-3 years of experience in building data science extractions and prompt engineering. (Required)• 1-3 years of experience with developing and deploying machine-learning systems. (Required)• Experience with the use of a programming/scripting language (Python, and SQL.) for building data pipelines. (Required)• Passion for solving problems within healthcare that have tangible impacts on patient lives.• Experience with developing and deploying products in production with Python, C++, Java, or Scala. (Preferred)• Familiarity with high-performance computing and distributed computing like Spark, Dask, Hadoop, and CUDA distributed GPU. (Preferred)• Hands-on experience with deep learning architectures and frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Keras. (Required)• Experience with libraries and tools like Spacy, NLTK, Stanford Core NLP, Genism, and JohnSnow Labs. (Preferred)Technical Requirements:We require that all employees have the following technical capability at their home: High speed internet over 10 Mbps and, specifically for all call center employees, the ability to plug in directly to the home internet router. This position is also eligible for a bonus component that would be dependent on pre-defined performance factors. As part of our total compensation package, Evolent is proud to offer comprehensive benefits (including health insurance benefits) to qualifying employees.
