This involves running and maintaining technology platforms, delivering new capabilities with those platforms to support business needs and implementing new technologies enabling business strategy. This role must understand the assigned area’s business strategy, business processes, solution architecture and maintain broader knowledge of IT’s enterprise technology architecture.This role is responsible for ensuring that technology platforms are selected and maintained in a manner that is compliant with all applicable regulatory requirements and security standards.This role will oversee a team responsible for the maintenance, optimization, and support of critical laboratory information systems (LIS) and other applications for our Clinical Laboratories. A strong grasp of IT support processes, including incident management, change management, and problem resolution, is essential.This position is a hybrid role, offering flexibility between remote work and onsite presence. Candidates will be expected to work at one of our hubs—Madison, WI, or Redwood City, CA—on a consistent basis.Essential Dutiesinclude but are not limited to the following:• Collaborates with product owners and business partners across multiple business functions to align technology solutions with business strategies.• Recommend, in partnership with the product owner or business systems leader, the annual budget for small change.• Ensures that the platform fits within the overall Exact Sciences enterprise architecture and strategy.• Stays informed of technology industry trends and solutions with ability to analyze for possible application in our environment.• Manage the day-to-day operations of an application team responsible for supporting, maintaining, and delivering new capabilities for assigned technology platforms. The team may include internal application analysts, responsible for configuration, and third-party partners that supplement the internal team and deliver custom capabilities.• Act as the primary relationship manager for partner and vendor organizations to monitor and improve the performance of technology platforms and associated vendor delivery personnel. Participate in vendor customer conferences or similar mechanisms for providing input toward improving performance and expanding business functionality. Manage vendor contracts, licenses, renewals and corresponding Statements of Work.• Provide input into the priority of change requests; estimate IT work effort and perform systems impact assessments to inform priority and resource needs.• Hold regularly scheduled communications with business and IT team members to discuss the status of deliverables, shared issues, end‐user concerns, and upcoming milestones.• Work with other Information Technology management and staff to develop and maintain standards, processes, and documentation.• Develop and lead a team by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees, maintaining a safe and secure work environment and developing personal growth opportunities.• Accomplishes results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.• Ensure adequate system monitoring and reporting is established for assigned platforms; measure the performance of platforms and participate in incident management activities for critical incidents, outages or other performance issues.• Guide the evaluations of new IT solutions, make product selections, and lead implementations.• Provide performance feedback and instruction to team members through individual and team meetings, and thorough performance reviews.• Works independently with little oversight and direction.• Other duties as assigned.• Strong analytical skills, business intuition, and organizational ability.• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, ability to operate in a cross cultural and complex matrix environment, and ability to build consensus across functions.• Adaptable, open to change and able to work in ambiguous situations and respond to new information or unexpected circumstances.• Regular and reliable attendance.• Support and comply with the company’s Quality Management System policies and procedures• Uphold company mission and values through accountability, innovation, integrity, quality, and teamwork.• Ability to work on a mobile device, tablet, or in front of a computer screen and/or perform typing for approximately 90% of a typical working day.Minimum Qualifications• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/MIS or related field; or high school degree/general education diploma and 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.• 8+ years of experience delivering or supporting technology solutions, either in an application management or program/project delivery role.• 5+ years in an information technology management role with responsibility for effective management of either direct or indirect resources.• Proficient in MS Office applications including Excel and Word.• Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.• Demonstrated ability to perform the Essential Duties of the position with or without accommodation.Preferred Qualifications• Past experience in health care or biotechnology.• Experience in agile delivery methodologies.• Familiarity with healthcare regulatory standards (e.g., HIPAA, CLIA) and their impact on IT systems.• Strong knowledge of Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) and other healthcare-related software.• ITIL 4 Foundation certification or higher, with a solid understanding of IT service management best practices.Salary Range:$109,000.00 - $174,000.00The annual base salary shown is for this position located in US - WI - Madison on a full-time basis and may differ by hiring location.
