Exchange & Algo Framework Software Engineer

Our Exchange & Algo Team develops and manages all of Belvedere Trading’s exchange-facing platforms for the traders. This highly visible team controls the order execution process and market data, along with reference data for our electronic trading systems across the 20+ exchanges we interact with.

We’re looking for a proven Software Engineer that has previous experience with building high-performance systems. This high-profile role will consistently partner with both tech and trading teams and have influence over how data is being used in our algorithms and quant studies.

What You'll Do

Develop high-quality trading software (C++17 and beyond)
Recognize system deficiencies, architectural needs, and implement effective solutions
Monitor and ensure that the systems are running correctly
Understand the team’s system integration with the rest of the Belvedere system
Architect and implement low-latency exchange connectivity and algorithmic trading platform
Support market data feed handlers, reference data handlers, and exchange order gateways
Collaborate with product managers to develop solutions for trading systems
Identify latency issues and tune and optimize the platform accordingly
Ensure exchange connectivity is compliant with exchange or regulatory rules
Partner with other teams and business units to provide core components for their requirements

What You'll Need

3+ years of technical experience
Strong focus on testing and automation
Proven experience working in C++,and Python scripting languages
Fluency in commonly used exchange protocols
High-quality standards for architecture, design, and implementation
Well-versed in all areas of delivering technical solutions
Experience in proprietary trading or exchange environment preferred
