Our organization is seeking an Executive Assistant to join its Human Resources team. This position offers an excellent opportunity in a dynamic environment for an individual with a “hands-on” approach to become an integral part of our human resources team. The Executive Assistant, Human Resources is responsible for providing timely and professional Human Resources support to employees and Business Partners at Brookfield Properties. Key aspects of this role are to provide administrative and employee support, reporting and process improvement.
Role & Responsibilities:
  • Maintain Calendar for EVP and coordinate a variety of internal and external meetings for the HR team
  • Manage expenses for EVP
  • Assist with the talent acquisition process as needed and provide support for posting positions and scheduling interviews
  • Works closely with HR Service desk to maintain data integrity in Workday. Able to execute tasks and run reports as necessary
  • Supports, participates in, and identifies opportunities to work closely with the HR, Learning & Development and Talent Acquisition teams
  • Invoice processing
  • Recommends activities that will optimize processes for enhanced efficiency and continual improvement of HR policies, tasks and duties
  • Supports the annual compensation / year-end review process
  • Coordinates and supports annual year end compliance processes
  • Schedules and coordinates meetings and training and provides other support as needed
  • Manages catering orders for meetings, trainings and conferences for team
  • Provides administrative support to SVP HR including preparation of presentations/training/correspondence, scheduling, travel, and Expenses.
  • Perform special projects and completes other duties as assigned
Your Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree with an interest in a career as an HR professional
  • 1-2 years of administrative experience
  • 1-2 years of experience with Workday or similar HR Management System (HRMS) solution preferred
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong systems orientation
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Client-service orientation supporting all levels of employees and executive management
  • Demonstrated ability to develop relationships
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Proactive and able to work independently - a self-starter
  • Able to work at a fast pace with conflicting deadlines and changing priorities
  • Demonstrates professionalism, business maturity, confidentiality, and sound judgement

Compensation & Benefits:
Salary Type: Exempt/Non-Exempt
Pay Frequency: Bi-weekly
Annual Base Salary Range: $65,000 - $85,000
Medical & Pharmacy Coverage: Yes, under Brookfield Medical Plan
Dental Coverage: Yes, under Brookfield Medical Plan
Vision Coverage: Yes, under Brookfield Medical Plan
Retirement: 401(k)
Insurance: Employer-paid life & short/long term disability
