Gettysburg College, in historic Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, is seeking a dynamic and innovative individual who has a strong administrative and collaborative background to serve in this temporary, full-time position as the Executive Assistant for the offices of Enrollment & Educational Services and Diversity & Inclusion. This position is scheduled to continue through May 2024.
The Executive Assistant provides administrative, programmatic, and clerical support to the Office of Enrollment & Educational Services and the Office of Diversity and Inclusion. Reporting to both the Vice President for Enrollment & Educational Services and the Chief Diversity Officer, this is a shared position with dual reporting that contributes to the overall effectiveness and efficiency of both offices. Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: performs general receptionist duties for both offices; maintains daily appointment schedules and provides administrative support to the VP of Enrollment & Educational Services and the Chief Diversity Officer; prepares, drafts, and edits various documents for the VP and the Chief Diversity Officer, including correspondence, reports, spreadsheets and PowerPoint presentations; provides clerical support for various meetings on behalf of both offices by scheduling meeting space, organizing technology, preparing agendas and writing minutes; manages various office budgets; makes travel arrangements; and oversees the Tuition Exchange Program.
The Executive Assistant is a full-time, temporary support staff position. This position is scheduled to continue through May 2024. The rate of pay is $20.00 per hour and benefits are available for this position in keeping with plan waiting periods. Qualifications
A high school diploma or equivalency is required, with additional formal education and on-the-job training desired. A minimum of three to five years of experience in a senior administrative services position and/or senior office management experience is highly preferred. Must have knowledge of general office practices and procedures, telephone etiquette, word processing, spreadsheet/web applications, and other computer applications. The successful candidate will possess the following abilities: communicate effectively verbally and in writing; work independently; prioritize and organize daily responsibilities and long-term projects; maintain confidentiality; learn new software applications; pay attention to detail and maintain accuracy; handle multiple tasks; and ability to work in fast-paced environment.
