Executive Compensation and Equity Analyst (Hybrid, Remote)

About our group:


Seagate is seeking an Executive Compensation and Equity Analyst for this junior to mid-level individual contributor role. In this role, you will serve as a member of the Global Total Rewards Team. You will be reporting to the Director, Executive Compensation and Equity and supporting in the design, development, administration, and monitoring of Executive Compensation and Equity programs. The successful candidate will have the ability to handle sensitive information, manage detailed work independently, and deliver results within set timelines, while collaborating with other stakeholders in Legal, Finance, and Human Resources.

About the role - you will:


  • Support broad analysis assignments involving the development, implementation, and administration of executive compensation and equity programs
  • Assists in the preparation of materials for the Compensation Committee of the organization’s Board of Directors.
  • Provide guidance for participation in surveys conducted by third parties in equity and executive compensation
  • Update and improve internal process documentation and recommend enhancements to existing processes, procedures, and reporting
  • Analyze large amounts of data and use the information accurately to communicate findings on executive compensation initiatives and/or programs
  • Review and audit monthly equity grants and new hire data for accuracy and maintain annual reporting for share pools and manage out-of-cycle equity grants
  • Drive the development of continuous process improvements and tools
  • Update employee executive compensation communications and equity education materials
  • Support compliance with various legal and regulatory requirements (including SEC and IRS) on executive compensation programs, including review of various filings such as the CD&A and Section 16 filings
  • Prepare and analyze compensation information in response to regulatory requests on an ad hoc basis

About you:


  • Highly collaborative individual, with excellent communication skills, written and verbal
  • Active listener who can synthesize different data and viewpoints and understands the global workplace trends in a competitive business environment
  • Excellent analytical thinking
  • Good understanding of organizational functionalities and able to work well independently or within a team

Your experience includes:


  • Market analysis, job classification, compensation programs and process development

  • Labor market economics and analysis of competitive compensation practices

  • Handling highly sensitive and confidential information

  • Advanced use of Microsoft Excel, data analysis, and modeling with large and complex data sets


You might also have:


  • CCP certification

  • LTI (Long-Term Incentive Plan) Equity experience

  • Administration of executive compensation programs

  • Experience with SAP SuccessFactors

  • General understanding of Radford market data


Colorado's 2021 Equal Pay for Equal Work Act (SB 19-085) requires we inform you of the estimated base salary range for this position: $77,400.00 – $114,900.00. Actual salary range is based on the regional labor market of the role in the geography in which you live based on the requirements of the job and your skills. This posted salary range is a good faith and reasonable estimate, and Seagate reserves the right to adjust this range depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate.

Our fist preference is to have the incumbent located in or around our Longmont, CO site working in a hybrid capacity. We are also open individuals in the MST (other than NE or MT), PST (other than CA bay area) or CST (other than AR, HI, LA, MS, ND and NE) time zones working in a remote capacity with compensation experience.
