Executive Producer Audio/Video

DawgNation is seeking a Executive Producer Audio/Video. This person will be responsible for the strategy and overall direction of DawgNation audio and video products. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, well organized and an effective multi-tasker who has a high energy and passion for success. You possess great instincts and understanding of what drives engaging audio and video programming, and you possess a competitive attitude that drives you to win. You will provide direction, organization, creativity, and strategy for the DawgNation brand, including news content, sponsor integration, graphic & imaging, promotions, and web content.

Responsibilities:

Programming Strategy (50%)
  • Strategic planning of the audio and video products offered.
  • Implement the programming strategy for DawgNation including recommending which programming is for audio, which is for video and which is for both.
  • Work closely with Sr. Director of Operations to recommend product enhancements to current programming.
  • Recommend new programming ideas and formats including ideal program schedule that maximizes the productivity of the talent while fulfilling our sponsor needs.
  • Recommend which programming is live and which programming is recorded. Build a repeatable consistent strategy for each format.
  • Research how other successful companies use programming strategy and recommend new ideas, including sponsor integration.
  • Develops objectives and strategies to ensure integration of and effectiveness of sponsorship sales and events (e.g., sponsorship / partner and related customer events).


Operations (40%)
  • Overall management of the day-to-day audio and video operations
  • Knowledge of how to run all equipment needed for production. Must be able to produce a live and recorded program yourself.
  • Manage technology of control room. Ensure equipment is functioning and have a plan for when equipment is not functioning.
  • Ensure all remote employees have necessary equipment to perform any and all audio and video responsibilities.
  • Manage audio and video strategy on gamedays including successful video and audio operations at all game sites.
  • Responsible for all sponsor integration into programming including scheduling, ad creative and sponsor tracking.
  • Manage all advertising spec requirements.
  • Conceptualizes marketing collateral and prepares and monitors event return-on-investment (ROI).


Leadership / Other Duties (10%)
  • Work with Sr. Director of Operations on additional staffing needs and responsibilities. May include hiring of freelance videographers as needed for special assignments.
  • Supervise employee and freelance producers.
  • Lead special projects as assigned.


Qualifications


  • A minimum of 8 years programming or other related experience
  • Documented examples of program creation from ideation to broadcast
  • Must be collaborative and willing to help out all departments of the company.
  • Team-first thinking is essential to the success.
  • Superior problem-solving ability. Must be able to identify technical challenges and strive to solve them while under pressure.
  • This position involves a high amount of live programming. Must be able to maintain a calm demeanor while problem-solving.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • High degree of planning and organization skills; can multitask and meet specific deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexible, creative, and innovative in using technology to deepen listener relationships.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with others.
  • Must be willing to work flexible hours and/or holidays and weekends as dictated by the business
  • Some travel may be required
