Senior Account Executive

Iconic is a new studio company started by Expa designed to become a world-class advisory platform created to help business owners sell their companies faster, more efficiently, and to higher-quality buyers. Our team is small, but growing, and composed of experts and builders all possessing track records of starting and growing successful companies. Iconic is backed by Expa, Oceans Ventures, and other strategic investors, and is revolutionizing the small business M&A industry. 

We are hiring for a Senior Account Executive. The Senior Account Executive will be a vital member of the team working with senior brokers to source new business and to assist clients with the execution of the entire mergers and acquisitions process for their businesses. This person will be running the deals from start to finish, while working to make a significant impact on the lives of small business owners.

Responsibilities:

Manage and execute transactions (sourced by you and your team) for small business owners. Your specific responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, providing strategic advice to maximize value.

  • Analyze company financials and determine enterprise value.

  • In collaboration with your team, develop compelling marketing materials.

  • Work with our data engineers to identify a universe of potential buyers.

  • Analyze offers and vet buyers to select the most suitable offer for our client.

  • Coordinate introductions between sellers and buyers and actively participate in negotiations.

  • Lead the due diligence process, coordinating meetings with attorneys, CPAs, diligence teams, and principals providing input in deal structuring.

  • Coordinate with internal teams and external advisors to ensure seamless transaction execution.

  • Recruit and interview future team members to expand the team.

Required Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in sales, real estate or a similar industry

  • Strong business acumen and proven track record in sales

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

  • High emotional intelligence and ability to manage relationships

  • Strong work ethic and a competitive spirit

  • Highly motivated, confident, professional, and coachable.

  • Able to handle multiple projects with competing priorities.

  • Good judgment in confidential situations and ability to exercise discretion.

  • Flexibility and willingness to work outside normal business hours, as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 4-year Bachelor’s degree.

  • California Real Estate License

Bonus Qualifications:

  • Relevant professional licenses: FINRA 79 or 7, and 63 or 65.

  • Proficiency with Capital IQ, PitchBook or Tableau.

This is a full-time position offering a base salary and performance-based incentives, with total on-target earnings (OTE) of $200,000+ per year, plus early equity. Iconic offers full benefits, including medical, dental, and vision insurance. The Senior Account Executive role is based out of Southern California, with the expectation that this person will go into the West Hollywood office as necessary.
