Job Description

Are you seeking a mobile developer position with a Startup feel but an experienced company work methodology? Join a team known for its collaboration not only between the native platforms but also with web and backend teams! We are looking to fill multiple roles in iOS and Android development with people who have experience working at Experian. You will report to either the Sr. Manager of iOS Engineering or the Manager of Android Engineering.

What you'll do

  • You will participate in the full application lifecycle (concept, development, deployment, test, and release management).
  • Write clean, correct code incorporating feedback from code reviews; follow and enforce best practices.
  • Evaluate assignments/requests, prioritize, and troubleshoot.
  • You will need to be accountable and able to focus on achieving the target while considering longer-term goals along the way.
  • You will communicate updates and resolutions and can present and defend technical and architectural choices.
  • You also have the opportunity to investigate and prototype new technologies.
  • Foresee future changes and lead the feature team to provide expandable and scalable solutions.
  • Participate in cross-team engineering efforts such as improving code review systems, building pipelines, monitoring.

Qualifications

  • You have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline/experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in mobile application development.
  • For iOS Developers: Proficiency in Swift and SwiftUI, familiarity with Objective-C, and experience with Storyboards and XIBs. Experience with iOS UX/UI guidelines and publishing apps on the Apple App Store.
  • For Android Developers: Proficiency in Kotlin and experience with Jetpack Compose, familiarity with Java, and a background in MVVM architecture. Willingness to participate in professional development activities to stay current on industry knowledge about third-party libraries such as RxJava, Dagger, and Retrofit.
  • Experience consuming RESTful APIs and providing end-to-end coverage for API components.
  • You can work with design teams to guarantee an understanding of platform-specific UI guidelines (iOS or Android).
  • Experience with large codebases shared REST API libraries, and unit testing.
  • Experienced in offline storage, background processing, threading, and performance optimization, working in an Agile environment.
