Don’t wait—apply today!Job Title: QA Lab TesterLocation: Northampton, MAPay Rate: $20Shift: Rotating (M, T, Fri, Sat) / (Wed, Thurs, Sun)Hours: 5:45 am - 6:15 pmJob SummaryThe QA Lab Tester will be responsible for conducting a variety of laboratory tests and analyses to ensure that raw materials, packaging, and manufactured products meet the company’s quality standards. The role involves performing chemical, microbiological, and physical evaluations, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations, and maintaining lab equipment for accuracy. The tester will also support new product trials and monitor production processes through statistical analysis.Key Responsibilities• Conduct laboratory tests (microbiological, chemical, sensory) to ensure products meet quality standards.• Prepare and analyze samples of raw materials, packaging, and finished goods.• Perform equipment calibration, record-keeping, and data transactions using facility information systems.• Evaluate ingredients and packaging through physical inspections, weight and density measurements, and other analytical methods.• Perform statistical process control to monitor quality of products and processes.• Ensure equipment is calibrated and functioning properly; audit records and maintain documentation.• Support new product trials and innovations by conducting product trial runs.• Perform line checks and audits to ensure product and packaging compliance.• Clean and sanitize lab equipment as needed.• Train new staff and cross-train across QA functions.• Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and company safety policies.Technical Skills:• Knowledge of quality assurance, statistical process control, food safety regulations, and lab safety procedures.• Ability to operate and maintain lab equipment and conduct instrument calibration.• Proficient in laboratory testing and data analysis.• Understanding of sensory analysis and chemical composition testing.• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues in processes or equipment.Qualifications:• Bachelor's degree in a science-related field preferred.• 3+ years of related experience preferred.• Ability to work extended hours, including weekends and holidays.• Proficiency in English with strong communication skills.Apply today to join our team!
