Extra Help Assistant Bowling Maintenance

Eastern Illinois University is seeking candidates for a part-time Extra Help Bowling Maintenance position in EIU Bowling Lanes. This position will work under general supervision to perform repairs and maintenance of bowling equipment. Duties will include:

• Adjustments and repairs of automatic pinsetting machines and related bowling equipment.
• Adjust and test relays, solenoids, transformers, electric motors, and wiring for defects.
• Disassemble, replace, and repair mechanical and electrical components or parts.
• Perform preventative maintenance.
• Maintain inventory records. Assist with supply orders.
• Provide assistance with special events such as league nights, bowling classes, and parties.

General understanding of mechanical components is required. Previous experience working as a bowling lane mechanic is preferred. Salary range is $28.00 to $32.00/hour.
