Senior Marketing Communications Specialist
We are looking for a versatile Senior Marketing Communications Specialist to join our fast paced go to market communications team.
Reporting into the Director of Customer Marketing and working closely with Corporate Communications team, you will be responsible for driving Extreme’s brand and market awareness through communication, storytelling and thought leadership – playing a critical support role for the company’s social media and customer storytelling efforts. This role is ideal for someone seeking the opportunity to create immediate and direct impact within the organization, is experienced at collaborating across teams and regions, and understands modern measurement and reporting techniques.
You will provide support in communicating the corporate story through researching, writing, and editing white papers, website copy, case studies, social media posts and other related documents. You will play a role in helping support Customer Advisory Board initiatives to help capture the voice of the customer and integrate key messages into company communications.
Additionally, you will:
· Develop content that tells the Extreme Networks customer story – ranging from case studies, social media, digital, video and more
· Manage internal resources and documentation related to the customer reference program in support of the sales team
· Work across the marketing organization to help create consistency in press releases, customer stories, social posts and other marketing materials.
· Play an instrumental support role across PR, social and customer reference teams helping to develop and drive cross-functional campaigns.
· Manage quarterly and annual reporting of programs and impact.
· Copyedit and proofread the work of colleagues as necessary.
· Implement social media policies and promote best practices as established by Global (Corporate) PR.
· Help manage department budget, opening POs and checking regularly on department spend.
Requirements
-1-3+ years of content, public relations or social media experience in a corporate setting.
-Experience working in high tech or B2
-Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
-A confident communicator and presenter with excellent verbal and written skills.
-Strong project management skills and ability to meet deadlines under pressure while managing strategic projects
-Energetic, positive, enthusiastic, and flexible team player.
-Proactive and reliable with a keen attention to detail.
-Strategic and tactical understanding of social media platforms and how to leverage as part of the news cycle.
-Experience with measurement and reporting.
-Ability to travel on occasion.
