Responsibilities
The Systems Engineer will reside in the Ottawa, Ontario area and be an integral member supporting the Sales Account Executive team across the region in a Pre-Sales Capacity. Working remotely and travel to customer sites delivering presentations and demo's, supporting Proof of Concepts; providing design, planning, implementation and training assistance on the Extreme portfolio solution to achieve business outcomes that benefit our customers. We seek individuals who are dynamic, flexible and willing/able to work outside of their comfort zone in a fast-paced technology advanced industry.
Qualifications
· BS. in Computer Science or related technical discipline, or equivalent work experience with minimum of 5+ years relevant experience
· Expert in networking technologies with competitive Network industry and regional knowledge and experience desired
· Proven ability to develop customer relationships with focus on becoming trusted advisor
· Thorough knowledge of security framework, design and features with ability to perform analysis of client enterprise networks
· Hands-on experience using network toolsets, for wired, wireless and security products
· Demonstrated skills in troubleshooting and problem resolution in a network environment
· Keen ability to understand and analyze customer requirements and position Networks Solutions effectively
· Ability to learn and effectively demonstrate technology solution concepts and advantages
· Demonstrated ability to manage complex customer interactions in difficult circumstances and control customer expectations in order to maintain satisfied customers
· Excellent inter-personal, technical presentation and communication skills
· Proven team player in cross-functional workforce environment
· Network Certifications desired, IE: Switching, Routing, Wireless, Security, Network Management, Cloud Technologies
