The Markets function shares and drives an integrated growth strategy across the largest accounts, the industry sectors, solutions, and services, demonstrating and achieving a market leadership through a client centric culture.Job Summary:• Market Research and Analysis: Conduct in-depth research and analysis of industry trends, market dynamics, competitive landscape, and emerging opportunities within each EY Sector. This includes gathering data from various sources, synthesizing information, and providing actionable insights to inform strategic decision-making.• Client Research and Insights: Gain a deep understanding of clients' businesses, challenges, and opportunities through research, interviews, surveys, and other methods. Use this insight to develop tailored solutions, identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities, and enhance client engagement and satisfaction.• Thought Leadership Development: Drive the development of thought leadership content, including white papers, research reports, articles, blog posts, and presentations. Collaborate with subject matter experts within the firm to generate innovative ideas and insights that differentiate the firm in the market.• Industry Benchmarking: Benchmark the firm's performance against industry peers and best practices. Identify areas of strength and weakness, opportunities for improvement, and strategies for enhancing the firm's competitive positioning and value proposition.• Strategic Planning Support: Provide research and analysis to support strategic planning initiatives, including market entry strategies, expansion plans, product development decisions, and pricing strategies. Help senior leadership evaluate market opportunities and assess risks to inform strategic direction.• Business Development Support: Support business development efforts by providing market intelligence, competitive analysis, and client insights to help identify and pursue new business opportunities.• Knowledge Management: Oversee the organization and dissemination of research findings, market insights, and thought leadership content. Develop processes and systems for capturing, organizing, and sharing knowledge within the firm to facilitate collaboration and decision-making.• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments, including marketing, Markets functions, Service Lines, to ensure alignment of research initiatives with broader business goals and strategies. Share insights and intelligence to support coordinated efforts across the organization.• Continuous Learning and Development: Stay updated on industry trends, research methodologies, and best practices in market research and analysis. Continuously seek opportunities for professional development and knowledge enhancement to maintain the firm's competitive edge.Day to day responsibilities• Research Planning and Execution: Develop research plans and methodologies to address key business questions and objectives.• Data Collection and Analysis: Collect and analyze data from various sources, including industry reports, market studies, client surveys, and internal databases.• Insights Generation: Synthesize research findings into actionable insights aligned to Moneyball analysis for internal stakeholders. Present findings in clear, concise formats such as reports, presentations, and dashboards.• Thought Leadership Development: Lead the development of thought leadership content, including white papers, research reports, articles, and blog posts. Collaborate with subject matter experts and marketing teams to develop compelling content that showcases the firm's expertise and insights.• Client Engagement Support: Provide research and analytical support to client engagement teams.• Market Intelligence Monitoring: Monitor industry trends, competitive dynamics, regulatory developments, and macroeconomic factors that may impact clients and the firm.• Internal Collaboration: Collaborate with other functions to share research insights and align efforts across the organization. Provide support and guidance to cross-functional teams to ensure consistency and accuracy of messaging.• Knowledge Management: Organize and maintain a repository of research findings, market intelligence, and thought leadership content. Develop processes and systems for sharing knowledge and insights internally to facilitate collaboration and decision-making.Additional skills/qualities needed to be successful in this role:• 10+ years of relevant experience• Ability to effectively work with and align to global research functions.• Background in professional services.What we offerWe offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The salary range for this job in most geographic locations in the US is $133,300 to $249,300. The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $160,000 to $283,300. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options. Under our flexible vacation policy, you’ll decide how much vacation time you need based on your own personal circumstances.
