Responsibilities:
LOCATION: Austin, TX, Santa Clara CA, Fort Collins, CO, Boxbourgh MA
ONSITE: This role requires the student to work from the LOCATION office throughout the duration of the Co-op/Intern term. First time Co-ops/Interns should work full-time and onsite.
PROGRAM TERM:
- Fall: Start Date August 21, September 11, September 25, 2023 – December 15, 2023
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:
- Own, maintain and improve multiple flows that ensure the quality of the design.
- Develop essential production engineering laboratory skills, testing new and old product.
- Performing and reporting on Electromagnetic/Optical Fault Injection product immunity.
- Will be involved in many aspects of the flow from initial test planning to coverage and signoff closure.
- Design, implement, debug, and validate features on reference hardware, pre-silicon emulation and simulation environments supporting AMD APUs and CPUs.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
- Between 3rd and 4th year of studies pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Science, Mechatronics, or a related field/discipline
- Proven interpersonal skills, technical excellence, and teamwork
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
- A drive to learn and master new technologies and techniques.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with an emphasis on product development.
WHAT WOULD SET YOU APART:
- Visibility to hardware project cycle: planning and design, implementation, debugging, integration and tape out
- Develop your technical abilities and gain industry experience in hardware design & computer architecture
- Industry exclusive design experience: exposure to industry standard protocols and specifications:
- Lab skills: building computer systems, component instrumentation, test management, and data acquisition.
- Teamwork: working amongst a team of professionals with diverse skills and experiences to gather and provide information and updates, learn new methods and complete projects in an efficient manner
- Preparation on working in the field: Work with a very experienced and talented group of Software Engineers to get ready for one of the most sought-after jobs in the industry
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
- Pursuing Bachelor or Master of Science in EE, CE, or CS. Industry related experience a plus.

Qualifications:
At AMD, your base pay is one part of your total rewards package. Your base pay will depend on where your skills, qualifications, experience, and location fit into the hiring range for the position.
