Responsibilities:
LOCATION: Austin TX, Santa Clara CA, Boxborough MA
ONSITE: This role requires the student to work from the LOCATION office throughout the duration of the Co-op/Intern term. First time Co-ops/Interns should work full-time and onsite.
PROGRAM TERM:
- This role is for the Fall term:
- Fall: Start Date August 21, September 11, September 25, 2023 – December 15, 2023
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:
- Provide first level triage support to in-person clients.
- Help set up devices or mobile accessories.
- Communicate status updates with internal clients.
- Ensure that requests are being prioritized and closed in a timely manner.
- Work alongside a senior IT technician who can help with any escalations and can provide guidance to advance your knowledge with IT support.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
- Basic understanding of Windows troubleshooting
- Android/iOS familiarity
- Customer-oriented mindset
- Ability to take clear notes to capture problems correctly
- A general understanding of MacOS would be helpful but is not required
WHAT WOULD SET YOU APART:
- PowerShell or command line (CLI) familiarity
- CompTIA A+ certification
- Customer service experience
- Familiarity with networking concepts (DNS, LAN, WAN)
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
- Candidates who have an interest in technology and who work well in a customer-facing role
- People who can patiently take the time to understand an issue in order to properly document it
- Someone who can comfortably navigate a PC to perform basic troubleshooting.
- Juniors or seniors pursuing a degree related to technology such as Management Information Systems, Business Technology Management, or Information Technology

Qualifications:
At AMD, your base pay is one part of your total rewards package. Your base pay will depend on where your skills, qualifications, experience, and location fit into the hiring range for the position. You may be eligible for incentives based upon your role such as either an annual bonus or sales incentive.
