Easterseals Vermont is the leading agency in the state in working hand-in-hand with the Department for Children and Families (DCF) to find family-centered solutions to problems.

We're offering a $2,000 Sign-On Bonus!

We are looking for a Family Engagement Assistant to join our team! In this key position, you will support the program by providing assigned family engagement services. Responsibilities will include providing safe and supported contact for children and parents within office and community settings, providing transportation for children and adults, testifying in court regarding observations, participating in and documenting meetings regarding clients, and completing required documentation of services.

As a Family Engagement Assistant, you will also schedule and prepare families and community service providers to participate in facilitated meetings, and have phone contact with family members when youth come into DCF custody to support the development of a support network for those youth and their families. An ideal candidate would have excellent communication skills (phone and in-person) and be a strong team player. Training is provided.

Qualifications:
  • This position requires a High School diploma or equivalent, at least two years of human services related experience and a minimum age of 18.
  • Associates Degree preferred.
  • A valid driver's license, safe driving record and a reliable vehicle with insurance that meets our coverage limits are required.
  • Cover letter requested.
Hours: This is a full-time, Monday-Friday position, 30-40 hours/week.

Compensation: $17 per hour plus mileage reimbursement at the federal rate and a $2,000 Sign-On Bonus (bonus to be paid out in two installments within 6 months)
