Position Overview • The Product Analyst II role will report up to a Product Manager and serve as an analyst for the different products, supporting the California team with analysis needs as a whole. • The primary function of the role would be to provide data analysis support for the California initiatives, as well as peer review support. • The role requires analyzing information using data manipulation, correlation, and basic statistical analysis. • Additional responsibilities will be to modify computer programs to extract information on customers, policy, and segments. Job Summary • Responsible for obtaining and evaluating information that supports revenue growth and profitability. • Analyzes information using data correlation, and basic statistical analysis. Essential Job Functions • Analyzes information using data manipulation, correlation, and basic statistical analysis. • Modifies computer programs to extract information from company databases. • Prepares state indications and other analyses of loss experience, retention, and expense data. • Responsible for development of data and information structure. • Performs primary field research, including customer, distribution, competitor, insurance department, and market surveys. • Identifies market segments and develops specialized pricing approaches. • Measures and monitors performance of states, initiatives, and identified segments • Facilitates through other parts of the organization to accomplish results. • Performs other duties as assigned. Education Requirements • High school diploma or equivalent required. • Bachelor’s degree preferred. Experience Requirements • 2 years of related experience or 1.5 years in Product Analyst I role. • Property and casualty industry experience preferred. Special Skill Requirement • Intermediate skills with Python, SQL, Excel preferred. • Beginner level SAP and PowerBI preferred. • Proficient PC Skills, including word processing, spreadsheets and databases. • Excellent verbal/written communication skills Physical Actions • Required job duties are essentially sedentary work consisting of occasional walking, standing, and lifting and/or carrying 10 lbs maximum, and seeing. Physical Environment • Required job duties are normally performed in a climate- controlled office environment.
