Description


Forvia North America invites applications for the role of Quality Specialist within our Rotational Development Program (RDP). As a member of this program, you will embark on a journey of long-term growth and development with Forvia. Spanning two years for those with a master’s degree or three years for those with bachelor’s degrees, the RDP is designed to draw upon the candidate’s academic background and is tailored to the individual’s needs, capabilities, and goals. With two or three 12-month rotations across various Forvia facilities, the candidate will gain a wide range of diverse experiences. Upon successful completion of the program, the candidate will be placed in a permanent key position within their core field.

Position and Environment


The 1st rotation, spanning 12 months, will be based in a Forvia facility, such as a Manufacturing Plant or Technical Center. Subsequent rotations will be based on aspirations, business needs, and performance evaluations. These roles could take place within different plants, technical centers, or our North America headquarters.


Potential Rotations:


Rotation I – Plant Quality Engineer (US manufacturing location)

Purpose of this rotation: Exposure to Manufacturing and Quality


  • Represents the customer within the plant and acts accordingly within his/her assigned production lines
  • Keeps all quality documentation updated within his/her assigned production lines, and ensures consistency between PFMEA, control plan and work instructions
  • Implements the necessary quality operating tools and methods to demonstrate process stability and operator’s qualification: master/boundary samples, green/red rabbits for Poka-Yoke verification, gages, Capability studies, Gage R&R analysis, product audit checklist, etc.


Rotation II – Program Quality Leader (US location)

Purpose of this rotation: Exposure to Customer Program Development & Advanced Quality Planning


  • As a member of the Program Core Team, the Program Quality Leader (PQL) represents the Customer Voice within the company. The PQL ensures the interface with the customer and internally with the other functions on quality matters in development phases.
  • Implements the quality management plan and ensure a regular follow-up to achieve these quality engineering objectives throughout the program phases. (PPM, Scrap, Warranty, Perceived quality, Safety & Regulation, and specific customer quality indicators)
  • Initiates and monitors the Program Risk Assessment through FMEA methodology.


Rotation III – Quality Management Office (US location)

Purpose of this rotation: Exposure to KPI Tracking and Business Process improvements


  • Facilitates, tracks and reports Quality Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) to ensure Total Customer Satisfaction.
  • Coordinates Non-Quality Cost (NQC) forecasting and reporting. Will work with Quality Management team to analyze, define, and implement actions to improve NQC.
  • Assists with overall Quality Management business process & system streamlining


Required Qualifications

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial or Operation Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Expected graduation between December 2023 and June 2024.
  • Strong interest in automotive industry and manufacturing operations.
  • Willingness to relocate at the conclusion of each rotation.


Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in navigating ambiguity and matrix environments.
  • Effective communication across all levels of the organization.
  • Proven ability to work in team environments.
  • Be a highly motivated self-starter capable of problem solving in a fast-paced environment.
  • Possess an analytical mindset and a demonstrated ability to utilize data.
  • Proficiency in another language (French, Spanish, etc.).
