We are excited to be hiring a Quality & Compliance Associate (Internal) to join the Felix Health compliance team!
As the Quality & Compliance Associate (Internal), you will be responsible for internal company compliance and health quality activities. You will assist in company compliance oversight and perform activities relating to research, documentation, policy, internal controls, and quality improvement. You will act as a positive influence toward compliance and quality awareness throughout the organization. The position requires detailed knowledge of Canadian labour law, corporate law, health law, and privacy law, and its applications.
Requirements:
Completion of a Canadian paralegal diploma or equivalent
Registration and licensure as paralegal with provincial law association strongly preferred
1-2 years experience and expertise in Canadian labour law, corporate law, health law, and privacy law strongly preferred
Completion of a compliance certification (IAPP’s CIPP/C, CRSP, CPHIMS, CISSP) an asset
Familiarity with relevant tools and technologies, such as Google suite, Adobe suite, and Notion
Exceptional analytical and decision-making abilities
Exceptional organization and planning skills.
Excellent English language written skills with keen attention to detail including ability to create, edit and proof-read technical legal documentation
Comfort with ambiguity, an ability to create clarity within grey areas, and an eagerness to problem solve and help build a successful compliance program
Responsibilities:
Assist in the operation of the company’s internal compliance program
Own the creation and management of internal documents, such as internal policies, privacy statements, and terms of use
Support in the creation of training materials and provide training, as needed
Assisting in the drafting and management of legal documents
Assist with paperwork and filings required by regulatory bodies
Respond to requests for information from internal and external stakeholders
Perform proactive legal research
Assist in health quality operations and quality improvement activities internally
Assist internal business functions with managing their routine compliance activities
