Field Marketing Manager

Overview:

The Field Marketing Manager will partner with our stores to develop local marketing strategies, drive tickets and engage customers. They will also have primary responsibility for supporting local training program strategy and execution. They will work with company stores to develop training program participant acquisition and retention strategies, and enhance our local training program marketing campaigns.

The Field Marketing Manager will work as a liaison between the Field Marketing team and store-level marketing coordinators/managers to communicate and support brand-wide marketing initiatives. They will have a passion for putting the customer first and will have an understanding of the challenges, nuances and opportunities within the retail landscape.

This position will work with stores to develop innovative grassroots marketing concepts while supporting each market’s unique needs and maintaining focus on the company priorities. They will travel to meet with the store's marketing managers and Operating Partners, and to support larger company events.

Responsibilities:
  • Support and enhance local training program strategies to increase revenue and community engagement
  • Build the strength of our company training programs to increase overall number of programs and program participation
  • Support company owned stores in developing and executing their local marketing strategies ensuring Fleet Feet marketing priorities are a focus in each store.
  • Work with the store’s marketing contact to make sure they have access to, and understand necessary guides, resources, and assets, and all marketing updates from SST (HQ).
  • Communicate and support brand-wide marketing initiatives by working closely with the National Field Marketing Manager and store-level marketing contacts.
  • Support sharing training program successes from stores and building upon those successes when possible, to replicate brand-wide.
  • Work closely with Field Marketing and the District Manager to understand current market conditions, sales goals and opportunities for stores within the west region.
  • Share ideas and help develop innovative marketing strategies across all stores in the west region.
  • Support major event/expo work in partnership with SST (HQ), store leaders and District Manager.

Qualifications:

  • 3 years of retail marketing experience and/or training program coaching or leadership experience, preferred
  • Excellent communicator with the ability to listen and adapt
  • Builds and maintains trust from the team, staff, and customers by using good judgment
  • Hardworking, positive, and self-motivated
  • Team oriented and customer-centric
  • Comfortable speaking in front of large groups
  • Strong presentation and communication skills
  • Strong organization and planning skills
  • Willing to go above and beyond when needed
  • Successful in fast paced environments; able to balance multiple priorities
  • Support all Fleet Feet initiatives, activities, and functions
  • Up to 25% travel required
  • Preferred location in the western half of the country

Additional Requirements:
Position requires occasional moving around with light (1-10lbs.) carrying, lifting, pushing or pulling. The position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access files, office equipment, etc. The position is mostly sedentary and requires the employee to have close visual acuity to perform job requirements. The position requires frequent communication with team members and repetitive motion with the hands, wrists and/or fingers while constantly utilizing a computer. This position is located within an office environment and is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
