Axis is looking for the right person to fill an opening as a Field Sales Engineer in the upper Midwest. The ideal candidate should reside in Missouri or Illinois.

You love working closely with professional sales managers across multiple states, supporting their pre-sales engineering needs and opportunities, including major enterprise accounts.

What you’ll do here:

Provide pre-sales engineering and support
Develop system design recommendations
Project management and maintenance initiatives
Develop RFP’s (Requests for Proposals) and Information
Coordinate on-site proof of concept and trial installations
Provide in-depth on-site troubleshooting and solutions
Work cohesively with Regional Sales Managers and sales support
Present training seminars on-site and through webinars
Prepare technical sales support materials
Performs other related duties as assigned

What we are looking for:

Willingness to learn and grow as an individual, in a fast-paced environment
Strong networking knowledge (TCP/IP, RESTful, infrastructure, troubleshooting, etc.)
Mature, professional verbal and listening skills
Proven reputation of positive customer interaction
Strong presentation skills
Solid technical writing skills including white papers, manuals, and instructions
Design documentation skills of video, audio, and network topologies
Resourceful and flexible

We believe you’ll need the following:

Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Network Engineering or Information Systems is highly desired
3+ years of field engineering experience in networking and/or video related systems, preferably customer facing

Occasionally required to lift 20-40 lbs
Ability to climb and stand on ladders or lifts for an extended period
Ability to work with heights. Ceilings, ladders, rooftops, etc.
Travel up to 75%
