Machine Setup Operator

Overview

FG Clean Wipes located in the Westover Industrial Park in Chicopee is a World Wide Mfg company of Cleanroom wipes.  We are seeking applicants with a textile background. Experience in textile cutting/spreading environment and/or experience operating slitter rewinders.

Role Purpose:

Operate equipment safely and efficiently to produce product that meets customer specifications in a timely manner. Other duties may be assigned as dictated by business needs.

Responsibilities

• Sets up and runs high volume manufacturing equipment
• Make major adjustments/changes to machine during production runs to maintain quality
• Diagnoses and repairs minor machine issues
• Inspects and completes quality documentation for first piece sign off
• Leads and directs small production teams
• Takes general direction from supervisor or department manager
• Can make decisions on own

Other duties and tasks as assigned by your manager/supervisor based on business need

Qualifications

• Communication skills- Able to listen and converse with all coworkers
• Ability to read and interpret work orders and perform basic math
• Able to be on your feet for entire shift with occasional twisting, bending or lifting a weight of up to 40 lbs.
