Job Title: Financial Operations Analyst
Job Location: Remote
Job Shift: US PST Shift (8 pm-5 am, IST)
We're looking for a Financial Operations Analyst to join us and expand our Team. We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Financial Operations – Senior Operating Expense Analyst to analyze and performance manage the operating expenses for the organization. This individual will deep dive into the operating expenses understanding all of the key levers of spend – payroll, T&E, Professional Services, and Facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Financial Planning & Analysis with experience managing costs with stakeholders and driving performance vs budget/forecast
Responsibilities and Duties- Cost Analysis: Deep dive analysis of all operating expenses spend by vendors
- Create template-based reporting that can be replicated across entities to track vendor spend
- Maintain the rolling forecast of operating expenses, restructuring costs, and exceptional charges
- Monitor expense levels and raise the red flag when expenses exceed expectations
- Weekly Operating Expense Review: Lead weekly operating expense reviews with the key stakeholders
- Proactively manage costs towards the budget/forecast for the month
- Provide insights and recommendations to senior management based on data driven analysis
- Identify areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvement.
- Budgeting / Forecasting: Own the budgeting and forecasting for Operating Expenses
- Build detailed template-based budgets that can be replicated across all entities at the vendor spend level
- Primary contributor to the quarterly reforecast and annual operating plan
- Process Improvement: Work closely with the accounting and operations teams to put in operating expense controls procedures
Preferred Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or equivalent preferred
- 3-5 years of experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (Logi-tech sector)
- Proven track record of success working with senior leaders
- Strong understanding of operating expenses, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Superior communication and negotiation abilities
- Advanced user of Microsoft Excel
- Net Suite experience preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
