Financial Analyst

The Financial Analyst is responsible for assisting the FP&A Manager in preparation of the annual budget and consolidated forecast. The Financial Analyst will also support the Finance & Analytics team with various management reporting tasks. Performs other projects and duties as assigned.

Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities:

  • Gather and analyze current and past financial data and performance
  • Able to independently meet and work closely with Senior Management in all aspects of financial data projects
  • Identify trends by reviewing financial information to answer specific business questions and forecast future financial results.
  • Coordinate with other members of the finance team to review financial information and forecasts
  • Update financial models and forecasting
  • Prepare forecasts and analysis of trends in finance, general business conditions, and other related areas.
  • Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and ensures financial information is presented accurately.
  • Will conduct special financial and business-related studies and cooperates with other departments in the preparation of analyses.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Competencies:

  • Demonstrates intermediate excel skills, experience with emerging technology
  • Self-starter, motivated to learn and grow in role
  • Ability to review, challenge and improve existing processes
  • Comfortable meeting and presenting information to Senior Leadership
  • Ability to work independently
  • Excellent time management with the ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Industry and Work Experience:

  • 0-2 years of experience in a Finance or Business analytics role.
  • Exposure to financial analysis and forecasting.
  • Exposure to statistical analysis is a plus.

Academic:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or Business required.
