About the opportunity

  • Ensure that our users, product, and business have the models, data products, and insights needed to make decisions.

  • Work closely with the team to translate business needs into data problems.

  • Build metrics, scalable data pipelines, dashboards, and reports to inform and run the business.

  • Deliver actionable business recommendations through analyses and data storytelling.

  • Apply software engineering best practices to analytics code (eg. version control, testing, CI/CD).

  • Maintain data documentation & definitions.

  • Transform, test, deploy, and document datasets for clarity and accessibility.

  • Use modern data stack tools (DBT, Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift) to manage data workflows.

  • Train business users on how to use data visualization tools.

  • Enable self-service data analysis for business users.

Requirements

  • You have a creative mindset.

  • Experience in data engineering and data analysis.

  • Proficiency with SQL and experience in one or more programming languages (Python, R).

  • Strong statistical knowledge.

  • Expertise in visualization and using data insights to make recommendations and achieve goals.

  • Familiarity with cloud-based data warehouses (Redshift, Snowflake, BigQuery) and data transformation tools.

  • Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

  • Proven ability to manage and deliver on multiple projects with great attention to detail.

  • Strong communication skills to document and explain data processes to non-technical stakeholders.

Bonus points for

  • Experience with financial or payments technologies.

  • Good understanding and practical experience with building data pipelines leveraging Infrastructure as Code (e.g. Terraform, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes etc.)

  • Experience working with remote teams.
