Join our dynamic team as a Remote Actuary, where you'll be at the forefront of shaping the future of insurance products and strategies. We seek a detail-oriented and mathematically passionate individual to fill the role left open by a recent promotion. If you are an actuary with a strong background in property and casualty, excellent technical skills in SQL and Excel, and the ability to communicate complex data effectively, this could be your next exciting career opportunity. What Sets This Opportunity Apart: Exposure to diverse aspects of actuarial work, including rate indications, reserving, and the development of brand-new products Opportunity to be a 'utility player' in a dynamic environment Chance to apply your skills to cutting-edge projects and innovative insurance productsWhat You'll Do:• Interpret and analyze complex data independently, utilizing mathematics and financial expertise to evaluate insurance metrics.• Lead rate level indication and pricing segmentation, improving modeling techniques with advanced actuarial methodologies.• Create and modify SQL queries for claims analysis.• Prepare actuarial rate filing exhibits for regulatory submissions and produce prospective expected loss ratio (ELR) estimates by state.• Perform extensive analysis on pricing for new and existing products.• Participate in quarterly and annual IBNR reserve analysis, including accounting and currency translation considerations.• Engage in quantitative projects involving claims and financial modeling applied to insurance.• Facilitate communication, documentation, and coordination between actuarial and non-actuarial departments and external stakeholders.What You'll Bring:• Bachelor's Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or a related field• 4+ years of property/casualty actuarial experience• Completion of at least three preliminary exams and 1 MAS exam (additional exams preferred)• Proficiency in SQL, R, Excel Macros, and Power BI• Strong analytical skills with a focus on rate indications and reserving• Excellent communication abilities and a self-motivated attitude• Active membership in the Casualty Actuarial Society (ACAS or FCAS) is a plusWhy This Role is Unique:• Gain exposure to a wide range of actuarial tasks beyond just reserving, including creating rates for new products.• Collaborate closely across departments and project timeframes, adapting to ever-changing responsibilities.• The opportunity to grow and develop with a company that values innovative approaches to traditional actuarial practices.Preferred Experience:• Completion of 3 actuarial exams, including preliminary exams and 1 Modern Actuarial Statistics (MAS) exam.• four years of relevant experience (internships included) or more exams and somewhat less experience.• Strong rate indications and reserving experience within P&C.If you're ready to take on a role that offers diverse challenges, continuous learning, and the opportunity to shape the future of risk analysis, we want to hear from you.
