This role is based in New York City. We work together in person three days a week and offer relocation assistance for new employees.

The Role

As a Senior Product Manager of Machine Learning, you will invent, design, and implement applications of ML, within the overall platform, in entirely novel ways that drive this new economy on never-before-available data.

Work will include:

• Devising and running pilots and applied experiments of new AI capabilities

• Designing and driving product development and release of features and abilities of the overall production platform

• Learning new ways of marketing with new abilities and teaching our company, our clients and our industry how to best leverage such powerful technology.

• As an AI Product Manager, your responsibilities include:

• Customer Engagement and Research

• Work with developers, sales, services, and our enterprise customers to understand their needs and pain points through pilots, feedback, focus groups, customer interviews, conferences, etc.

• Research the competitive landscape, and industry trends, and stay up to date on the latest AI and deep learning papers from leading conferences (NeurIPS, ICLR, etc.) to find new ideas and inspire the team

• Learn and internalize the underlying technical mechanisms and abilities of new AI and ML techniques as they may apply or help our overall strategy

• Analyze product data to understand usage and find opportunities for improvement

• Work with leadership to shape and understand company strategy and goals

• Design and Product Development

• Leverage insights from strategy, customer engagement, and competitive landscape to define and prioritize a product roadmap

• Spec and design improvements and features, including defining metrics for success

• Propose new initiatives and features

• Work with partners and leadership to prioritize short and long-term investments

Execution

• Make tradeoffs during unforeseen challenges uncovered in the development process

• Lead internal project planning, coordinating team resources, and informing stakeholders

• Ensure projects are rolled out with clear metrics and hypotheses and define the next steps for success

• Market and celebrate successes and document learnings, internally and externally

• Work to develop a culture of learning and teaching as we introduce wholly new ways of interacting with customers

You may be a good fit if you have:

• BS or MS in Computer Science, artificial intelligence, computer vision, statistics, mathematics, or related technical field or equivalent professional experience.

• Demonstrated experience and strong understanding of the underpinnings and technical mechanisms of AI and ML. We believe if you’re going to “design cars”, you need to know how engines work and are built

• Passion for learning & invention as well as for efficient, consistent processes and scalable execution

• Experience with the product development cycle, devops, release management and new product go to market launches

• Experience with applying ML models in enterprise quality production environments is a strong plus
