About the Position
As Sales Development Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive outreach strategy to identify key markets, expand the customer base, and ultimately drive pipeline generation to meet our commercial goals. You will also take responsibility as an internal talent developer, training SDR team members to succeed in their role and advance in ways that allow them to thrive in new commercial positions in the organisation.
You will lead and inspire a team of sales development representatives, setting clear goals and providing ongoing guidance and support. This will begin with your responsibility of organising and running training for new colleagues in the SDR team, as they are onboarded and continue throughout their time as a SDR. Your ability to motivate and mentor the team will be instrumental in driving their performance, achieving sales targets and setting their foundations. You take responsibility as an internal talent developer, training SDR team members to succeed in their role and to advance in ways that allow them to thrive in new commercial positions in the organisation.
Additionally, you will collaborate closely with other departments, acting as the bridge between marketing, sales operations, sales enablement, and business development, to align strategies and maximise sales efforts.

About You
To be successful in this role, you should be able to demonstrate a record of surpassing commercial goals. You will have proven experience as a contributor, manager and leader in a client facing team. You should have a demonstrable ability to work in a targeted environment and be adaptable and willing to change tactics if something is not working. You should have strong interpersonal and leadership skills to build rapport, trust, and confidence in your team. Likewise, you should have very good organisational skills. Confidence and lucidity when speaking on the phone, resilience, and ability to deal with failure are also essential qualities.
