Principle Responsibilities
Deliver activity based exercise programs.
Follow individual exercise plan determined by Activity Based Exercise Specialist.
Deliver over ground activities, strengthening and cardiovascular exercises.
Respond to emergencies.
Deliver Locomotor Training to clients.
Implement Locomotor Training using designated equipment.
Cue and assist the lower extremities through gait sequence.
Provide cues and support for trunk and hips.
Utilize computer for body weight support, treadmill speed, and recognition of proper techniques of team members and client.
Deliver Functional Electrical Stimulation ergometry for upper and lower extremities to clients.
Conduct and develop fitness programming based on client assessment.
Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Health and Exercise Science required or
Bachelor's degree in Exercise Physiology required or
Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology required or
Bachelor's degree in Therapeutic Recreation required
2 to 5 years in developing exercise programs required
BLS Tier 1 - Basic Life Support - Multisource required from American Heart Association or Allina Health Upon Hire
Health Fitness Specialist Certification (or equivalent) from American College of Sports Medicine within 1 Year required
