This is a part-time position with a 3-month service term.

Position Description: As a FixUP! Coordinator for MidCity Redevelopment Alliance's FIXUP! program, the AmeriCorps member will work to bring change to MCRA's designated area through rehabilitation projects. The AmeriCorp member will take part in a 12-week series of projects, supporting efforts in landscaping, painting, and beautification.

Duties:

• Supporting the Community Building Coordinator & MCRA team members in completing community rehab projects throughout East Baton Rouge.

• Support in maintenance of warehouse

• Support in basic maintenance of MCRA’s tools

• Support in setup & takedown of events MCRA is leading and/or supporting

Requirements:

• Ages 18+

• Reliable transportation

• Ability to lift 50–100-pound items

Preferred Experience (Not Required):

• Previous experience house painting
