About the role
Flex is seeking a Director of Brand Marketing to significantly up-level our brand. We are aiming to build a distinctive, memorable, and culturally-relevant brand that fosters an emotional connection with consumers. This pivotal role is ideal for a leader who has demonstrated success in building consumer brands from the ground up and at scale. We are looking for someone who understands how to use consumer insights, trends, and data to inspire innovative brand strategies that resonate with our target audience, making Flex a household name.
What you’ll do
Drive in-depth consumer, partner, and industry research to generate actionable insights
Build a strong, recognizable consumer brand strategy with an identity that has longevity
Deliver compelling brand strategies and tactics that resonate deeply with consumers
Partner with cross-functional teams, ensuring cohesive brand execution and OKR alignment
Activate key brand touchpoints across a variety of channels, upholding brand consistency
Provide hands-on support in areas like product marketing and social media
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, ensuring cohesive brand execution and alignment with analytics and finance on brand impact measurement and investment approach
Key qualifications
7+ years of hands-on experience in brand marketing and advertising
Creative, analytical mindset with a talent for emotional brand storytelling
Diverse background, including experience in startups, agencies, & corporations preferred
Track record of building consumer-loved brands, preferably in the consumer finance space
Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional influencing capabilities
Exceptional skills in both strategic thinking and hands-on execution
Adaptability to balance multiple projects in a fast-paced startup environment
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field preferred
The national pay range for this role is $166,000-$205,000 in base salary. Individual compensation will be commensurate with the candidate's experience aligned with Flex's internal leveling guidelines and benchmarks.
