To lead one of our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Compliance & Product Development Manager located in Henrico, VA.Reporting to the Director of Engineering the Compliance & Product Development Manager you will work closely with sales, project managers, procurement, production, quality assurance and other engineers, and analyze feedback from customers to produce or improve product designs. You must be an adept problem solver, have an excellent eye for design, and be willing to work as part of a team. You will communicate and coordinate among different types of engineers working on a project while adhering to project schedule and budget.What a typical day looks lik• e:Meeting with stakeholders to establish their requirements for a new or existing product or mechanical syste• m.Managing a team of engineers and CAD designers on engineering project• s.Work from concept development and ensure that plans meet client needs and engineering standard• s.Adhere to the timeline for each proje• ctHelping to develop and refine processes and standards for design deliverabl• esWorking with CAD software, such as AutoCAD Inventor and AutoCAD Electrical to create drawing specifications in accordance with the needs of the clien• t.Creating designs in accordance with applicable regulations, client specifications, industry standards and company norm• s.Produce designs focused on manufacturability & assembly while maintaining electrical system reliability, availability, maintainabilit• y.Work with quality team on assessing quality metrics and analyzing current Product Design and Production tim• esCreating prototypes, testing them, and analyzing the result• s.Submitting project deliverables to relevant stakeholde• rsProviding support during the entire building process to ensure that the design specifications are me• t.Analyzing problems that may arise during the manufacturing process and recommending solution• s.Managing change contr• olResponsibilities may include some travel and/or availability for other than normal business hours.The experience we’re looking to add to our tea• m, A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering which has been approved by the accreditation board for engineering and technology (ABE• T).Minimum of 7 years of engineering experien• ce.Demonstrable knowledge of UL 891 Switchboards, UL 1558 Metal-Enclosed Low-Voltage Power Circuit Breaker Switchgear, UL 67 Panelboards, UL 857 Busway, UL 1008 Transfer Switch Equipment, UL 62368/60950 Information Technology Equipment, as applicable is preferr• ed.Demonstrated experience in the design of electrical power distribution systems is preferr• ed.Experience in managing a small team of engineers and driving to meet design deliverables in a timely mann• er.Experience with programs like AutoCAD Electrical, AutoCAD Inventor, & Vault as well as MS Office applicatio• ns.Strong problem-solving skills and an excellent understanding of mathematics.What you’ll receive for the great work you provi• de: Full range of medical benefits, dental, vi• sionLife Insur• anceMatching• 401• KPTOTuition Reimburse• mentEmployee discounts at local retailers
