The Opportunity 

As the Associate Product Manager for APIs and Integrations, you will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to influence how we integrate technology partners with Flock Safety’s products. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Partnerships, Pre-sales, Technical project management, Design, Legal, and Security to develop and execute comprehensive product integrations with technology partners. You will play a pivotal role in enhancing our product offerings by seamlessly integrating with third-party systems and building robust APIs to facilitate interoperability. 

The Skillset 

• Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for innovation, problem-solving, and continuous improvement.

• 2+ years of experience in a fast-paced tech company, preferably in a SaaS environment with a technical background.

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

• Strong technical acumen and ability to work closely with software and hardware engineering teams.

• Demonstrated experience in working with APIs, integrations, or platform products, with a strong understanding of API design principles.

• Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, influence stakeholders, and drive consensus in a dynamic fast-paced environment.

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to leverage data and metrics to make informed decisions and measure the success of integration initiatives.

• Bonus: software development experience preferred

This serves as a preview of the 90 day plan you will receive if you were to be hired as an Associate Product Manager at Flock Safety. 

The First 30 Days

• Meet the team & build context and relationships.

• Learn about the company’s mission, long-term goals, and how APIs and integrations support overall strategy.

• Become familiar with our products.

• Spend time with customers to understand their pain points.

• Deeply understand our competitive landscape and target markets.

• Learn about our product development best practices, the tools, and the metrics.

The First 60 Days 

• Take an active role in your team’s discovery efforts and develop a pipeline of prioritized potential opportunities for your product area.

• Own the execution of the product roadmap for the quarter with Engineering. 

• Monitor and analyze the product performance, user behavior, and feedback, and identify opportunities for improvement and growth. 

• Own our API documentation and support go to market teams on technical conversations about your product area.

90 Days & Beyond 

• Evaluate and reflect on the product OKRs, product roadmap, backlog, and performance, and identify the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT).

• Fully owning instrumentation and monitoring of KPIs for your product area

• Find and execute on cross-functional process improvements to ensure the overall success of your product area.

• Identify and lead cross-functional product initiatives that can add value and solve problems for the company and its customers.

The Interview Process 

We want our interview process to be a true reflection of our culture: transparent and collaborative. Throughout the interview process, your recruiter will guide you through the next steps and ensure you feel prepared every step of the way. 

1. Our First Chat: During this first conversation, you’ll meet with a recruiter to chat through your background, what you could bring to Flock, what you are looking for in your next role, and who we are. 

2. The Hiring Manager Interview: you will meet with your future manager to discuss your background as well as our vision for the team, growth and why this is a great time to join the Product team and Flock. 

3. Product Manager Interview: You will meet with a peer Senior Product Manager to really dive into the role, the team, expectations, and what success means at Flock. You should expect the interview will cover your software product experience, guiding strategy, stakeholder communication, & launch experience. This is your chance to really nerd out with someone in your field. 

4. Engineering Interview: Meet with members of the engineering team to discuss how you best work with engineering to translate product requirements into technical specifications. 

5. Panel: Learn more about the team, responsibilities, and workflows. You should be prepared to speak about past projects, how you collaborate and communicate with others, and how you live our values. Depending on the team and role you are interviewing for, you may meet with several teammates as well as cross-functional partners.

6. The Executive Review: An opportunity to meet leaders within the Product organization. They will be looking to get to know you better, understand your motivations, and understand your background. Be prepared to ask well-thought-out questions about the company, culture, and more.

💰Salary & Equity: In this role, you’ll receive a starting salary of $95,000- $125,000 as well as stock options
