Flock Safety is seeking a Director of Strategic Finance who will lead the strategic finance team for our fast-paced, high-growth sales organization. This role will work cross-functionality to ensure business partners across the organizations have the financial tools they need to make informed decisions.
This role will report to the VP of Finance and be a critical business partner for the Finance organization. The FP&A team is responsible for providing insight on business performance, developing strategies for improvement, and tracking variances/anomalies in financial data. This role will offer substantial leadership exposure and the opportunity to impact decision making in a hyper-growth environment.
How you’ll make an impact:
Strategic Financial Leadership - Lead and manage the FP&A function, driving the company's financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and analysis processes. Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to the executive team to support decision-making and drive business growth.
Financial Modeling and Analysis - Oversee the complex financial models using Pigment to support business planning, scenario analysis, and strategic decision-making. Analyze financial data, market trends, and benchmarks to provide actionable insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
Work cross-functionally across the organization to lead planning/forecasting helping team connect the dots and find efficiencies
Team Leadership and Development - Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing remote FP&A team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and departmental leadership to drive alignment and execution of financial strategies and initiatives.
Performance Monitoring and Reporting - Oversee the preparation and presentation of regular financial reports to functional leaders, the executive team, and board of directors. Monitor key financial and operational metrics, identifying trends and variances, and recommending corrective actions as needed.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred
Minimum of 10 years of experience demonstrating a strong track record of promotions and increasing responsibilities in Finance leadership roles
Knowledge of ASC 606 and SaaS metrics like ARR, NRR, Magic Number, and Payback preferred
Proven experience in financial planning and analysis using multiple software solutions like Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets
User proficiency in Pigment desired
Exceptional financial modeling skills and the ability to derive actionable insights from complex data sets from disparate systems, including ERPs, CRMs, HRIS’, and data warehouses
Compassionate leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop a high-performing team
Superior analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a strategic growth mindset and attention to detail
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with senior leadership, investors, and other stakeholders

💰Salary & Equity: In this role, you’ll receive a starting salary of $170,000-$225,000 as well as stock options
