Warehouse SpecialistPosition Summary:Overseeing the warehouse tasks in each retail store falls under the responsibility of the Warehouse Specialist. They are required to manage the work of warehouse specialists, order pickers, and forklift operators while also supporting the Receiving Specialist in scheduling daily freight based on inventory and customer demands.Warehouse Specialist Major Duties:• Organize the work schedule of warehouse personnel every day for streamlined shipment and reception.• Manage the activities that take place in the warehouse on a daily basis, including receiving and shipping of goods, maintenance, and inventory control.• When receiving errors in the Storage Buy process, it is important to identify the root cause of the issue and work to resolve it as quickly as possible.• Ensure that warehouse equipment stays in top-notch condition with routine maintenance and repair.• Maintain the safety and security of the warehouse by complying with all OSHA standards and guidelines.• Offer comprehensive training to associates to ensure they understand and adhere to standard protocols.• Provide prompt and professional assistance to employees when addressing inquiries or concerns.• Ensure effective coordination among different units to maintain warehouse efficiency.• Detailed activity reports will be generated for management that present an overview of all the company's activities, including sales, marketing, and production.• Monitor the movement of paperwork from the Receiving team and ensure it reaches the Inventory Control Specialist smoothly.• Dealing with Inconsistencies in Shipping, Invoices, Packing Slips, and Receiver Reports.• Apply the Audit Policy for Storage Procurement.• Make the task of counting and inspection easier with stage products.• Proper storage and correct rotation of stock are essential for ensuring product quality and freshness.• Execute tasks as instructed by the higher-ups.Warehouse Specialist Professional Background:• We are looking for someone who has held a Specialisty role for at least one to three years in a warehouse or distribution center setting.• Remarkable talent in fostering positive relationships, assembling strong teams, assigning duties, and maintaining effective communication and tracking systems.• Being able to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.• Exceptional communication aptitude (spoken and written).• Capable in elementary numerical operations.• Has expertise in operating computer systems built on the Windows platform.• Capacity to perform well in a rapidly moving work environment and fulfill set time limits.• Availability to work additional hours during busy periods.PHYSICAL/SENSORY REQUIREMENTS• One of the job prerequisites is the ability to move items that weigh up to 60 pounds on occasion and 20-30 pounds frequently.• Skill in handling and perceiving objects through precise movements and tactile senses.• Basic movements like standing, walking, and climbing require little effort to complete.About Us:The primary focus of Floor & Decor's business operations lies in providing a diverse selection of hard flooring surfaces and accessories in the US.
