Role Summary:The HRIS Specialist is the key resource for designing, building, and maintaining functional configuration and features of the Workday application with a focus on functional areas. The successful candidate will be able to collaborate with multiple business partners to understand functional and business requirements, interprets the outcomes to achieve, identifies gaps and potential fits and designs and implements effective solutions to meet functional and business objectives.Responsibilities:• Partner with the Human Resources subject matter experts and HRIS team members to implement and / or update workday configuration• Build or maintain functional configuration including custom validations, condition rules and calculated fields• Collaborates with leadership, IT, functional stakeholders, global experience owners and service center teams to shape and design positive customer experiences• Serve as the SME for Workday functional areas and work to resolve production issues, using the latest available features released• Researches and minimizes reported problems or pain points within HR platforms, drives resolution of issues, analyzes security issues, and recommends corrective and proactive action• Participates in technology testing including partnering with compensation team to develop testing scripts• Proactively engages Employee Service Center employees, technology partners and other Human Resources leaders to deliver easy to use employee experiences• Other duties as assignedRequired Experience:• BS or BA Degree in relevant field and 8-10 years relevant experience• Experience in HR, HRIS, Total Rewards and/or Compensation• Experience using Workday Core HCM or Compensation Modules• Effective verbal and written communication skills• Self-reliant and effective problem-solver generating high quality and innovative solutions in a timely fashion• A positive attitude, an optimistic approach, and resiliency when facing obstacles or challenges are all critical for success in this role• Able to collaborate with others to solve challenging business problems• Ability to prioritize, multitask and work on multiple projects at once• Passionate about learning, motivated to continuously improve skills, and ability to adapt to new technologies and business solutions• Flexible, agile, and adaptable to changing business needs• Value the importance of being customer-centric and serving others• Strong attention to detail with a high level of personal ownership• Ability to work well with people of different cultures, generations, and experience levels• Advanced understanding and demonstrated abilities in support of complex analysis of current and future system development, evaluations of new applications or vendors, and ability to drive automation in a complex environment• Thorough knowledge of HR functions and business rules including payroll, compensation, recruiting and staffing practices and benefits• Proven experience in configuration and design of complex workflows and business rules• Ability to negotiate priorities and manage difficult conversations in favor of advancement of digital and agile culture• Ability to write and analyze reports, review system audit reports, and make recommendations on process or technical changesPreferred Experience:Master’s degree in relevant fieldFlowserve offers competitive pay, annual bonuses, medical benefits on day 1, generous paid vacation time, paid holidays, 401(k) and many other excellent benefits!
