As part of the HR team, this role will be integral to supporting the business and providing best in class service to our employees. The successful candidate will be able to manage multiple work streams and projects at one time, flex as needed for additional requests, while maintaining a consistent approach to reporting and metrics.
The HR Generalist will be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day operations of Human Resources. This role will assist with administrative tasks for the HR function, and act as support for the HR team, to ensure that all employees are enabled and empowered to perform at their highest potential. The individual will be responsible for assisting with HR Analytics, Data Management, Employee Onboarding, Employee Performance Reviews, Employee Relations, and HR projects. This role is based in New York, NY.
Primary Responsibilities
- Handles all tasks related to employee onboarding including a seamless handoff from Recruiting to HR and coordinating day one logistics.
- Assist with orientation, overview of benefits to new hires, instruct on completion of enrollment forms and audit for accuracy, and provide overview of company policies.
- Provide a high level of service to employee inquiries regarding the general company and HR policies and procedures.
- Prepare and maintain personnel files including confidential files electronically.
- Identify business gaps utilizing data and works with HR team to build and implement solutions.
- Prepare various HR correspondence, documentation, and communications.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- 2+ years in a HR role preferred, ideally in the financial or professional services sector, but we will consider recent college graduates with an interest in HR (e.g., internships or other coursework)
- Highly Proficient with MS Office products, particularly with Excel and PowerPoint
- Demonstrated ability to act with the highest level of discretion at all times
- Strong strategic problem-solving and analytic skills
- Excellent organizational skills, including ability to successfully prioritize and re-prioritize in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment, while still delivering on projects in a timely manner
- Demonstrated excellent oral/written English communication skills
The annualized base pay range for this role is expected to be between $80,000-$100,000. Actual base pay could vary based on factors including but not limited to experience, subject matter expertise, geographic location where work will be performed and the applicant's skill set. The base pay is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Other reward may include an annual cash bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.
