Summary:
SCOPE OF WORK: To assist Food Service Worker IIs in serving and preparing nutritionally balanced meals according to a prescribed menu plan and established safety standards.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Completion of eight years of grammar school or its equivalent.
Experience: No experience required.
License/Certification: None required.
RECOMMENDED WORK TRAITS: No specialized knowledge, skills or abilities required, except clean personal health and sanitation habits. Must be willing to maintain appearance appropriate to assigned duties and responsibilities as determined by the agency appointing authority.
Responsibilities:
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
· Assists in prepping and serving food according to menu and number of persons to be served.
· Cleans and sanitizes equipment, utensils, refrigerators and areas of food preparation.
· Operates dish washing machine, coffee machine and toaster.
· Sets tables; makes beverages and strives to meet the resident’s needs.
· Prepares trays of food for distribution and assists in food distribution.
· Performs other custodial or housekeeping duties as assigned by a supervisor.
· Assists with special events and other duties assigned to meet the resident’s needs.
