Job DescriptionThe Advance Driver Assistance Technology (ADAS) team develops state-of-the-art software and algorithms to deliver best-in-class features like adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, blind spot monitoring, and 360 camera systems. ADAS also developed Ford's industry-first Pro Trailer Hitch Assist, securing over 60 patents in the process. The team is responsible for the full end-to-end delivery of these features into production on all Ford vehicle lines.ResponsibilitiesWhat you'll do…• Design, document, develop, integrate platform abstraction middleware• Understand overall middleware architecture and provide guidance to software developers writing applications for the platform• Work with code quality tools, write unit tests, ensure proper code coverage, ensure robustness, support code reviews and debugging• Work closely with other teams diagnose any issues encountered• Work with continuous integration teams to ensure required changes are brought to production• Support the SW verification and validation teams to establish test strategies to achieve suitable coverageQualificationsYou'll have…• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field• 6+ months of experience in software development in C++ programming language (internship/co-op/coursework experience allowed)Even better you may have…• Experience with modern software development and design in C++• Experience with object oriented, modular design• Understands various communication styles and protocols such as SOA, REST, SOME/IP• Understands ABIs and backwards compatibility• Understanding of AUTOSAR Adaptive• Experience with the Linux and QNX operating system• Experience with Agile software development processesYou may not check every box, or your experience may look a little different from what we've outlined, but if you think you can bring value to Ford Motor Company, we encourage you to apply!As an established global company, we offer the benefit of choice.
