A true one-stop shop, offering a full portfolio of electrified and internal combustion vehicles designed to integrate seamlessly with the Ford Pro ecosystem, helping customers' businesses thrive today and into the new era of electrification.Ford Pro is looking for Software Engineers that embrace Agile-eXtreme Programming principles to deliver innovative software products for Ford Motor Company and our commercial customers.ResponsibilitiesWhat you’ll be able to do:• Engineer high-quality reusable code to develop the dynamic user interface for various platforms• Enhance testing platforms, improve test automation, foster software craftsmanship• Surprise and delight customers and partner software engineers• Monitor and evaluate the performance of our solutions• Collaborate with multi-skilled teams working on commercial/fleet software solutions• Engage in Test-first Development, Test Driven Development• Cloud development using cutting-edge technologies and integrations with Ford enterprise systemsQualificationsThe minimum qualifications we seek:• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent• 3+ years of experience in experience working in front-end development.• 3+ years of experience with Object-oriented development languages, such as but not limited to:• Java• JavaScript• TypeScript• Kotlin• Python• C#• Modern databases (Relational and non-relational)• 1+ years of experience developing and deploying to cloud platforms, such as Google Cloud Platform, Pivotal Cloud Foundry, Amazon Web Services, and Microsoft Azure• Experience in developing web-based UI using JavaScript, Angular or Vue and/or Typescript.• Familiarity with debugging problems using appropriate tools.• Continuous integration/continuous delivery tools and pipelines, such as: (Jenkins, Terraform)• Experience with end-to-end testing tools such as Selenium.Our preferred qualifications:• Master’s Degree in Computer Science or related field• Deep understanding of Object-Oriented Design Principles• Familiar with eXtreme Programming (XP) practices including Pair/Mob programming and Test-first/Test Driven Development (TDD)• Experience with developing and deploying to cloud platforms, such as Google Cloud Platform, Pivotal Cloud Foundry, Amazon Web Services, and Microsoft Azure• Experience with Spring/SpringBoot and RESTFUL Web services development• Experience with machine learning, mathematical modeling and data analysis is a plus• Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases• Experience with CA Agile Central (Rally), backlogs, iterations, user stories, or similar Agile Tools Highly effective in working with other technical specialists, Product Managers, UI/UX Designers and business partners.• Previous experience working as a react.js developer.• In-depth knowledge of JavaScript, CSS, HTML, and front-end languages.• Knowledge of REACT tools including React.js, Webpack, Enzyme, Redux, and Flux.• Experience with user interface design.• Knowledge of performance testing frameworks including Mocha and Jest.• Familiar with eXtreme Programming (XP) practices including Pair/Mob programming and Test-first/Test Driven Development (TDD)• Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases• Passion for learning and willingness to work in a pair programming environment.• Understanding of fundamental data modelingWhat you’ll receive in return:As part of the Ford family, you’ll enjoy excellent compensation and a comprehensive benefits package that includes generous PTO, retirement, savings and stock investment plans, incentive compensation and much more.
