What You Will Do

You are an experienced systems architect with years of experience in designing, building, documenting and understanding multi-platform, multi-premise solutions. You enjoy challenging yourself and others around you, and you seek to educate and share your expertise with others. You have experience working with executives and can articulate the complexities of system architecture to others.

Serve as the Global Systems Architect within the Engineering organization, providing leadership on end-to-end system design across our on-premise, cloud-native, and edge compute solutions.
Act as the technology expert for the product stack, guiding, documenting, and advising on architectural designs to ensure seamless integration between on-premise and cloud environments.
Design and implement enterprise-grade architectures that prioritize customer data confidentiality, product integrity, and availability using industry best practices.
Collaborate closely with the CTO and CPO to translate product vision and innovation strategies into actionable architectural design patterns for the engineering team.
Work with platform architects, product teams, and engineering leaders to design scalable infrastructure for large-scale IT, IoT, IoMT, and OT networks.
Partner with engineering managers and product architects to ensure that architecture aligns with product priorities and scope.
Collaborate with the InfoSec team to ensure end-to-end security throughout the product lifecycle, from design to deployment.
Evaluate and estimate costs and level of effort for the development and operationalization of system architecture solutions.
Identify and implement cutting-edge technologies and tools to improve product performance and development efficiency.
Continuously assess opportunities for component or code-level improvements through refactoring or reuse, enhancing the performance of the on-premise platform.
Own and maintain the global platform architecture blueprints, documenting all components, services, communication flows, and internal and external dependencies.

What You Bring to Forescout

10+ years of system architecture experience, designing and managing complex systems across on-premise, cloud-native, and hybrid architectures with a technical bachelor's degree preferred.
Strong understanding of routing, packet composition, networking fundamentals, and communication flows in large-scale IT, IoT, OT, and IoMT systems.
Experience working with both compiled code and scripting languages.
Proven ability to balance confidentiality, integrity, and availability across IT/IoT networks, and availability-focused OT/IoMT networks.
Expertise in PKI, authentication, and the selection of encryption ciphers for secure inter-platform and inter-process communication.
Familiarity with the services and security tools that form the backbone of enterprise organizations.
Experience with data architecture, including designing data structures and selecting appropriate databases for various needs.
Ability to design seamless interoperability between monolithic systems and microservices-based architectures.
Deep curiosity and an eagerness to understand design patterns and architectural decisions at the code level.
Experience with regulatory compliance frameworks such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, with bonus points for experience in FedRAMP and IL4/5 certifications.
Extensive experience with Azure or Google Cloud platforms (Azure Cloud certifications are a plus).
