Hi, I’m Charlie, Risk Ops Lead at Found. Our team is looking for a Risk Operations Associate Dispute as we prepare to quickly grow our customer base. As a member of the Risk Operations team, you will perform a detailed analysis of account activity, investigate dispute claims, make decisions on dispute claim validity, communicate with customers during dispute intake and claim investigation, review user-submitted evidence to support dispute claims, work closely with product and engineering teams on optimizing the dispute process. I personally review every application, so if you have any questions please include them in your application. This role will be expected to work Pacific timezone hours (9:00 am - 5:00 pm PST).
Communicate with customers who have filed dispute reports, review and evaluate documentation received from customers, and make decisions on dispute validity.
Flag accounts with prohibited activity, review and make decisions on flagged accounts, and develop parameters for account and dispute reviews.
Collaborate with our Product and Engineering teams as well as Payment Processors to optimize dispute intake, review, and claim submission processes and procedures.
Establish parameters for evaluating dispute claims and taking action on accounts engaged in dispute abuse.
Monitor risk losses and other KPIs from transaction disputes, monitor and review dispute metrics for accuracy, and identify opportunities to improve dispute review and submission criteria.
2+ years experience in transaction disputes or risk operations at a financial institution, with recent hands-on experience in the day-to-day function of transaction dispute review and adjudication.
The ability to spot operational deficiencies and react quickly to them by establishing new processes or pulling in relevant team members.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, both with customers and fellow employees.
The ability to problem-solve and prioritize tasks in time-sensitive or high-pressure situations.
Experience or interest in financial services, accounting, taxes, and/or self-employment.
A self-starter approach to learning.
Experience problem-solving in a fast-paced growth environment.
Experience with Zendesk, SQL, and Asana (or other project management tools).
Previous startup experience or demonstrated technical initiative on previous projects.
The ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical partners.
The anticipated salary range for this role is $75,000 - $82,000. The salary range listed represents the low and high end of the anticipated salary range for this position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by several factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
