Join our team as a Liability Claims Adjuster, where you will oversee a caseload of liability claims, ensuring adherence to legal, regulatory, and insurer requirements. Maintain effective internal and external communications, drive sound recommendations regarding file reserves and settlements, and contribute to our commitment to operational excellence.Principal Duties And Responsibilities• Claims Management: Handle a caseload of liability claims, ensuring timely and appropriate resolution in accordance with various state regulatory requirements.• Communication: Maintain effective internal and external communications regarding assigned claims, ensuring clarity and accuracy in all interactions.• Best Practices: Follow and utilize claim handling best practices as directed by management and regulatory/professional organizations.• Collaboration: Work closely with outside attorneys, insurers, and third-party vendors to settle or adjudicate cases appropriately.• Reporting: Prepare periodic reports and maintain detailed file communications to ensure a complete and accurate record is available at all times.• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to company, legal, regulatory, and insurer requirements in all claim-handling activities.• Licensing: Maintain a Florida resident liability adjuster's license and apply for reciprocal or other licenses in states where Fox operates.• Flexible Scheduling: Able to work a flexible schedule to meet Pacific time zone requirements.• Mediation and Hearings: Occasionally attend mediation or other hearings.• Claims System Management: Accurately input claims information into the claims system and maintain an up-to-date diary system and case log file.• Decision Making: Make sound recommendations regarding file reserves and settlements and communicate them effectively.Education• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.Experience• Minimum of five years of experience in adjusting liability claims.• Minimum of two years of experience working in a team environment.• Previous experience in a claims, insurance, or risk management department is required.• Experience with a rental car company claims department is preferred but not required.Skills And Abilities• Excellent negotiation skills.• Knowledge of liability insurance policy coverage, limits, and deductible provisions.• Working knowledge of common medical issues presented in liability matters.• Knowledge of liability claim rules of fault/settlement and state regulatory provisions.• Strong communication, organization, and computer skills.• Proficiency with MS Office Word and Excel programs.• Ability to read, write, understand, and speak English.We Offer• Medical, Vision, Dental, 401k, Employee Discounts, Referral bonus• Company-paid Life Insurance• Company paid AD&D Insurance• Flexible spending account• Parental leave• Employee assistance programWe are committed to building a team that represents a variety of backgrounds, perspectives, and skills.
