About the FP&A team:

As an FP&A Analyst you will report into the Head of FP&A, Fiona Smythes and join another FP&A Analyst to make a full team of 3. This team is responsible for the reporting of business information and financial performance data across the EMI group.

The wider London finance team support all 16 global offices and are led by our CFO, Linda Wake and our Group Financial Controller, Sarah Jones. The team is collaborative, supportive and social (it’s guaranteed you will see them at most social gatherings!)


What you’ll be doing:

This role will be business partnering with and providing financial guidance and advice to the Head of Regional Sales (ASIA, EMEAI, Chicago & LATAM) and the Chief Commercial Officer as well as other members of the leadership team. You will be reviewing trends, providing commentary, performing analysis and support strategic decision making.

The person who undertakes this role must be able to work with, and manipulate, large data sets. They should have the ability to work without absolute detail as well as being able to stand back and see the bigger picture. It is important the individual who takes on this position is professional and confident to deal with execs/managers and to be able challenge where necessary in a non-confrontational manner.

Key responsibilities of an FP&A Analyst:

  • Monthly Global Sales Analysis
  • Support the Head of FP&A in automation of key performance indicator and dashboard roll-out
  • Support the Directors and Senior Management teams to build budgets and forecasts that are challenging but achievable in line with growth strategies
  • Own the update of the 3-year forecast on a quarterly basis
  • KPI reporting for month end, forecasts, budgets and medium to long term plans
  • Analyse and prepare supporting schedules for the consolidated annual budgets and forecasts, monitor the operations as compared to budget/forecast and re-assess the plan as required.
  • Financial Modelling – Assist in building a financial model to predict potential commission pay-outs based on forecast new business & renewal sales
  • Deep dive review of existing and new business working closely with Senior Managers and the Regional sales teams
  • Support in analysing product/project profitability

Requirements

We're looking for someone who:

  • Is a fully qualified accountant with relevant post-qualified experience
  • Has a high level of attention to detail
  • Can perform constructive evaluation and self-review
  • Is analytical with good problem-solving skills
  • Shows enthusiasm and ambition
  • Is able to take ownership of your own workload and be proactive and inquisitive
  • Has excellent presentation skills with experience of leading and presenting in meetings
  • Can communicate well across all levels
  • Has intermediate to advance excel skills
  • A knowledge of SAGE, Zuora and Microsoft Dynamics
  • Basic Knowledge of SQL

If you have the following it would be an advantage:

  • Knowledge of PowerBI or Tableau and Salesforce
  • A knowledge of SAGE, Zuora and Microsoft Dynamics D365
  • Basic Knowledge of SQL

The interview process for the FP&A Analyst looks like:

An initial Teams call with one of the Talent Acquisition team followed by a 2-stage interview. There will be a qualification task after the phone screen and a presentation task for you to prepare prior to the 2nd stage. The 1st stage will be a Teams interview and the 2nd stage will be in the office, with the opportunity to meet the other FP&A Analyst afterwards.
