We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Affordable Housing Community Director - Exempt to join our team in Miami Gardens, United States. As the Community Director, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our affordable housing properties, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing exceptional service to our residents.

  • Manage all aspects of property operations, including leasing, maintenance, and financial performance
  • Develop and implement strategies to maintain high occupancy rates and resident satisfaction
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal affordable housing regulations
  • Oversee and mentor on-site staff, promoting a collaborative and inclusive work environment
  • Develop and manage property budgets, monitoring expenses and maximizing revenue
  • Implement and maintain effective marketing strategies to attract qualified residents
  • Coordinate with maintenance staff to ensure timely completion of repairs and property upkeep
  • Foster positive relationships with residents, addressing concerns and resolving conflicts promptly
  • Collaborate with local community organizations and government agencies to enhance services for residents
  • Prepare and submit accurate and timely reports to management and stakeholders
  • Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in affordable housing management

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years' experience with affordable housing programs, including LIHTC, HUD programs, and other relevant initiatives
  • Affordable Housing Accreditation (e.g., HCCP, HCP-E, COS, BOS, TCS, CPO) or other applicable designations in affordable programs
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar leadership role within residential property management
  • High School diploma or equivalency certificate required; Bachelor's degree in Business, Real Estate, or related field preferred
  • Certification or designation from an accredited organization preferred (ARM, CAM, CAPS, COS, CPM, MPM, RMP, etc.)
  • Valid Driver's License and good driving record
  • Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing in English
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office, Google Apps, and property management software
  • In-depth knowledge of local, state, and federal housing regulations, with particular familiarity with Florida housing laws and market trends
  • Excellent financial management and budgeting skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse populations
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, manage, and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on customer service and resident satisfaction
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively to meet deadlines and achieve organizational goals
