Freenome is a high-growth biotech company focused on developing tests to detect cancer through blood draws. They are looking for a Laboratory Director to help build their laboratory operations team and establish quality and compliance for diagnostic laboratories.

Responsibilities

Participate in strategic planning for laboratory services
Establish laboratory performance metrics
Ensure adherence to CLIA and CAP regulatory requirements
Coordinate and lead process improvements
Troubleshoot technical problems
Consult and approve standard operating procedures
Ensure compliance with state and local regulations
Serve as a resource for test methodology
Prepare and perform inspections for licensure
Champion Quality Control and Proficiency Testing

Education

Doctoral Degree in Chemical, Physical, Biological, or Clinical Laboratory Science
Current certification as Medical Technologist or appropriate categorical certification
