Function

The UC Pool Front Desk Attendant Staff is a safety and service-oriented unit responsible for the daily operations of the UC Pool front desk, including the opening and closing duties, admittance into the pool, and money management. Front Desk Attendants will ensure that only those who are supposed to be at the pool are able to go through the doors and will be the first positive interaction a patron has as they enter the pool area.

Front Desk Attendants are responsible for the proper operation of the UC Pool front desk on weekdays from 9:00AM to 8:00PM and on weekends from 12:00PM to 5:00PM. These time guidelines do not include special events which front desk attendants may also be responsible for maintaining proper operation.

Qualifications/ Requirements

• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that every patron has an affiliation with The University

• Make sure each patron abides by the pool rules

• Make card transactions for membership passes and locker rentals

• Have proper phone etiquette and be able to provide patrons with information regarding the facility

• Provide assistance to lifeguards during an emergency

• Follow the emergency protocols in accordance with the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
