San Diego Advanced Gastroenterology Associates is a leading healthcare organization specializing in providing comprehensive gastroenterology services to our patients. We are currently seeking a highly organized and skilled Front Desk Medical Assistant to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in managing the administrative and operational aspects of our practice.
Responsibilities:
Coordinate and schedule surgical procedures, ensuring smooth flow and efficient use of resources.-
Serve as the primary point of contact for patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals regarding surgical appointments, pre-operative instructions, and post-operative care.

Manage patient records, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with HIPAA regulations.

Maintain and update the office schedule, ensuring optimal patient flow and minimizing wait times.

Coordinate insurance verification, pre-authorization, and billing processes related to surgical procedures.

Oversee the inventory of surgical supplies and equipment, ensuring proper maintenance and timely replenishment.

Supervise and train office staff, including medical assistants and administrative personnel.

Assist in developing and implementing office policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.

Collaborate with physicians and staff to optimize patient care and improve overall patient satisfaction.

Maintain a positive and professional work environment, fostering teamwork and effective communication.
Required Qualifications:

Excellent in customer service.

Ready to answer the phone and make an appointment.

Patient's check in and out
-
Proficiency in verifying insurance coverage and obtaining pre-authorization.

Scheduling surgeries (colonoscopy, endoscopy, etc).
Preferred Qualifications:

Bilingual English/Spanish (preferred).
