Front-End Developer

ManTech is seeking an experienced Front-End Developer to support a large architecture development program in support of a Department of Defense (DoD) program. The ideal candidate will be a key member of our mission infrastructure development team and possess advanced User Interface development skills. This team develops network-connected back-end services, as well as web-based interfaces. The successful candidate must be an enthusiastic and passionate engineering professional, have expertise in a variety of fields, and be able to professionally represent ManTech in customer facing meetings.

A qualified candidate will be responsible for the following duties and responsibilities, but are not limited to:

  • Design, develop, diagnose, and unit-test Web Applications
  • Develop interactive JavaScript based user interfaces.
  • Develop a web back-end using a Python based web framework.
  • Integrate with components and APIs created by other members of the team, or by a third-party.
  • Maintain a suite of automated tests used for continuous integration.
  • Participate in code reviews.
  • Participate in the project's agile process.
  • Create technical requirements and working with the Engineering team to develop, test and launch the functionality on-time and with high quality.
  • Effectively communicate among developers, as well as with end-users on a limited basis.
  • Possess excellent problem-solving skills, and be detail-oriented and performance-driven.
  • Commitment to continuous process improvement concerning integration efforts and CI/CD Pipeline.

Required Qualifications:

  • Active/current Secret clearance is required.
  • IAT Level II required, i.e. Security +
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent, and 7+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with Python.
  • Experience with Single-spa
  • Experience with UI/UX design
  • Specialize in Web Application Framework (WAF) for the implementation of Graphical User Interface (GUI) using HTML, JavaScript, Typescript, CSS, and VueJS.
  • Software configuration management using GitLab, GitHub, and/or any similar type of environment.
  • Agile software development methodology.
  • Familiarity with Jira and Confluence
  • Experience developing back-end web applications & REST APIs.
  • Experience with modern JavaScript libraries and build processes.
  • Experience with MySQL.
  • General understanding of networking concepts.
  • Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix.
  • Quick learner, able to learn new technology and software.
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision and as a team member.
  • Experience with Agile and Agile Scrum software development.
  • Experience in configuring development, test, and production environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with React.js (ember.js or angular.js also a plus).

Experience with MongoDB a plus.

  • Experience with Flask web framework.
  • Experience with configuration management tool such as ansible.
  • Exposure to continuous integration and deployment.
  • Experience with Docker.

The projected compensation range for this position is $87,600-$115,000. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories. In addition, ManTech invests in it’s employees beyond just compensation.
